If you are ready to discover a better version of yourself, let’s talk. I believe therapy works best with collaboration, working together to find the most effective methods of meeting your self-established and recommended goals. My clinical style is warm and built on mutual trust, helping you identify and build upon the strengths you already have in order to create change.
My educational background includes a Bachelors’ degree in Social Work from the University of Portland, and a Masters’ in Clinical Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. I have worked extensively in Community Based Mental Health for over ten years and have a wide range of expertise, from crisis management to cognitive behavioral therapy.
My experience includes enhanced crisis services, individual work, family work, and working within our judicial system. In these various settings I have done direct care services with gang affiliated Youth and Adults, worked with individuals who have intellectual developmental disabilities and worked with families/individuals who have gone through intense trauma’s involving suicidality, homicidal ideations, and substance use. Modalities that I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eco-Systemic Family Therapy (ESFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Some specific behaviors I address: Depression, Anxiety, Low Self-Esteem, Juvenile Justice Involvement, Adult Justice involvement, Crisis Intervention, Oppositional Defiant, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Bipolar Disorder.
No matter what you are facing, I am grateful to share this space with you.
Outside of Keep Counsel, I can generally be found loving up on my pitbull and doing anything and everything that is physically active and challenging.
